2017

Started to learn about Wagashi on my own while living in the US.

2021　

Completed Beginner Level Nerikiri Wagashi Online Learning Course taught by Ms. Fujimoto from hale_works while I was in Manila, Philippines. Completed the intermediate level in 2025.

2022 Wagashi Workshops & other Activities

• Held workshop for University of Maryland’s Japanese class: 5 participants – Autumn Nerikiri Wagashi Making (Pumpkin and Maple leaf)
• Held workshop for Washington Japanese Heritage Center: 60 participans – Winter Nerikiri Wagashi Making (Japanese plum flower and Tangerine)
• Held workshop for Study Japanese in Arlingon: 40 participants – Winter Nerikiri Wagashi Making (Rabbit and Japanese plum flower)

2023

• The George Washington University, “Japan Fes” – Had own wagashi introduction booth to present about Wagashi and provided homemade kinako dango, mochi coated with sweet roasted soy bean powder and matcha dango during the JapanFest.
• Sakura Matsuri -Japanese Street Festival- in Washington DC – Presented about Wagashi in English and demonstrated making three different designs of Nerikiri Wagashi on stage. Provided 100 pieces of Nerikiri Wagashi to the audiance.
• Held workshop for American University: 10 particioants – Children’s Day themed Nerikiri Wagashi making workshop for students during the Japanese class. (Koinobori (carp) and Iris flower)
• Held workshop for DC SAKE co x Wagashi Paring Event in DC: 20 participants – 3 different kinds of Sake paired with Wagashi and Wagashi Making (Morning Glory)
• Fox Mill Elementary School in Virginia, Japanese festival – Wagashi Sale at the summer festival. Sold 100 pieces of summer theamed Nerikiri and 60 pieces of strawbery mochi.
• Held workshop for Ekoji Temple‐40 participants – Early summer themed Nerikiri Making Workshop (Hydrangea)
• Embassy of Japan in the United States of America. Food and Agriculture buffet-style reception. Provided 200 pieces of strawberry daifuku
• Held workshop for Hinode Preschool in Kumamoto prefecture: 40 participants – Summer-themed Nerikiri Making (Sunflower and Hydrangea)
• Held workshop for Yame Green Tea and Wagashi pairing in Yame, Fukuoka: 10 participants.
• Had an oppotunity to talk about myself, “The opportunities are right in front of you” to about 70, 6th grade students during a talk series called “Welcome Almuni!”

2024

• Completed an Nerikiri Online Course taught by Antomo115 from Miyazaki, Japan.
• Took 6-day intensive Nerikiri Wagashi Learning Course in Shanghai taught by Wagashi master Junichi Mitsubori from Izumiya, Yokohama, Japan.
• 70th Anniversary of Saudi and Japanese diplomatic relations “Ithra Japan Day” – In charge of Nerikiri Experience corner as a Wagashi Instructor for 14 days. Taught 5000 participants Cherry blossom shaped Wagashi during 14 day event. 　
• 2-day Intensive Wagashi Learning Course taught by Wagashi Master Toru Tsuchie, in Izumo, Shimane.

2025 Moved to Tokyo
